David M. Walton, M.D. is an attending orthopaedic surgeon at William Beaumont Hospital. He specializes in the treatment of all disorders of the foot and ankle.

 

Dr. Walton earned his bachelor of science from the University of Michigan and completed his medical training at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery training at Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Walton was then selected to complete a clinical fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Duke University.

 

Dr. Walton moved back to his home state of Michigan in 2016.  His clinical and research interests are in athletic injuries, arthroscopy and deformity of the foot and ankle as well as ankle replacement surgery. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and he has presented his findings at regional, national, and international meetings.

 

Dr. Walton is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, the American Medical Association and Piedmont Orthopedic Society.

 

He is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy.
