Christopher L. Tisdel, M.D. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in the treatment of all foot and ankle disorders, from the teen years through adulthood.
Dr. Tisdel earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he also served one year as a research fellow. He then completed a clinical fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Following all his training, Dr. Tisdel worked as an attending surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic, training residents and performing research for eight years. Dr. Tisdel moved back to his home state of Michigan in 2003, and is on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He also serves as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital.
Dr. Tisdel is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
